Unfortunately, sometimes your Okomo widget may not be displayed. This can have several causes:
- You have not included the Okomo script correctly
Check if you have integrated the Okomo script in the right place in your website (see details in the Okomo Admin Portal under "Integration")
- You have not saved your domain in the Okomo Admin Portal:
For security reasons, you need to enter the domain of each website where you want to display your Okomo widget. This also applies to a test website. This is easily done by logging into the Okomo Admin Portal, then going to the 'Integration' section and adding all your website domains (i.e. "okomo.com" for example).
When you open the browser developer tools (F12) on your website, a message is displayed in the console if your website is not allowed to display the Okomo button.
- You are using Google Tag Manager which is blocked by ad blockers.
If you integrate Okomo into your website using the Google Tag Manager, the loading of the Okomo button might be blocked by some ad blockers. We therefore recommend integrating Okomo directly into your website (see details in the Okomo Admin Portal under "Integration").
- You do not have an SSL-certified website (https://www.):
In order for website visitors and experts to successfully make a call, your website must have a valid SSL certificate. Setting this up usually takes less than 10 minutes with most web hosts and is usually even free with the Let's Encrypt initiative, for example. Ask your web host how you can install an SSL certificate and thereby also make your website more secure and trustworthy.
If you still cannot install an SSL certificate for other reasons, select the option "open the Okomo widget as a separate pop-up" under "Appearance" in the Okomo Admin Portal. Then the connection will run entirely through Okomo, will be encrypted, and the call will work even without an SSL certificate. After that, click on "Save".
